1. Overview & Offline-First Privacy

NanoKhata is built with a local-first philosophy. Your sales entries, customer credit ledgers, and delivery records are stored directly on your device in your browser's local database (IndexedDB). Your private financial records are yours alone.

2. Information We Collect

We believe in minimal data collection:

• Local Store Data: Store name, transaction records, customer names, and contact numbers you enter are stored locally on your device.
• Authentication Information: If you choose to enable cloud backup, your mobile phone number is used strictly for authentication and account verification.
• Technical Diagnostics: Minimal, non-identifying telemetry (such as app version and sync status) may be processed to ensure reliable offline-to-online data synchronization.
• Website analytics: Our website and free tools use Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). Google Analytics uses cookies. Content you enter into the free tools (photos, salary figures, quotation details) is processed on your device and is never sent to us or to Google.
• Nano AI assistant: When you use Nano AI, your question and the specific shop figures needed to answer it are sent to our AI provider to generate the reply. Nano AI is optional.
• Saved tool settings: The Quotation Maker saves your business details and logo in your browser on this device only. You can remove them at any time from the tool.

3. How We Use Information

Information collected is used to provide core ledger functionality, ensure offline accessibility, enable optional encrypted cloud synchronization and, for website analytics, to understand which pages and tools are useful. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal or business financial data to third parties or advertising networks.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data stored on your device is protected by your device's security sandbox. When cloud backup is active, communications with our servers are transmitted using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption.

5. Your Rights & Data Control

You have complete control over your business data. You can export a backup of your local database, clear records, or delete your account at any time directly through the app settings.
