How to make a PP size photo
- Take the photo against a plain white wall in daylight, face straight to the camera.
- Choose Passport / PP size. Move the box so your face sits inside the dashed oval, with a little space above your head.
- Use Brighten if the wall looks grey, then download. For a printed copy, the file is already 35 × 45 mm at 300 DPI.
Scanner effects
- Scan (enhance) stretches contrast so paper looks white and ink looks dark. Good for certificates and bills.
- B&W document turns the page pure black and white. Best for signatures and typed text, and it makes files very small.
- Brighten lifts dull backgrounds, which helps passport photos taken against an off-white wall.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reduce a photo to under 50 KB?
Pick a preset or size, type 50 in Max file size and download. The tool lowers JPG quality until the file fits. If it still cannot, crop tighter or choose a smaller size. B&W document also makes signature files very small.
Why did my PNG not get under the limit?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so photos stay large. Choose JPG for photos; it can be squeezed much smaller with little visible difference.
Does it change the DPI written in the file?
No. Browsers save images without a print DPI. The pixel size is what upload forms check, and 413 × 531 px prints at 35 × 45 mm on a 300 DPI printer.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything runs inside your browser and the photo never leaves your device.
