What goes on a good quotation
- Your business details with logo, phone and PAN/VAT number, so the customer knows who is offering the price.
- A quotation number and validity date. Prices change; a valid-until date protects you from old offers.
- Clear items with quantity, unit and rate. The amount is worked out for you.
- Discount and taxes such as 13% VAT or service charge shown separately, then the grand total in figures and in words.
- Terms such as delivery time and advance payment, and a signature line.
What is saved, and where
To make your next quotation faster, this page remembers your business name, address, phone, email, PAN/VAT number, logo, colour, terms, VAT choice and the next quotation number. They are stored only in this browser on your device. Customer names and items are never saved, and nothing is sent to NanoKhata or any server. Use Remove saved details to clear them.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send the quotation on WhatsApp?
Yes. Download the image for a quick WhatsApp message, or the PDF for email and printing. Both are A4 at print quality.
How are VAT and other taxes added?
Tap VAT 13%, or type any tax name and rate. Taxes are calculated on the amount after discount, in order, each on the amount above it — so add Service Charge first and VAT second, as hotels and restaurants do. The quotation lists each tax and the grand total.
Is a quotation the same as a tax invoice?
No. A quotation is a price offer before the sale. After the sale, a VAT-registered business must issue a proper tax invoice from its billing system.
What happens with a long list of items?
The quotation continues on a second page automatically. The PDF includes every page; the image download gives one image per page in a ZIP file.
